  • When two or more numbers are presented in the same section of writing, write them as numerals 
          "On the 12th day of Christmas, my true love sent to me...9 pipers piping...etc"
    1. Writing numbers in a consistent format makes them easier to read and compare. 
         The full scale system contains 15 pumps, 5 fans, 5 ducts...
    2. Exception - if none of the numbers is greater than nine, write them all out as words. 
          The pilot-plant system contains five pumps, one fan...
